When a product or service is advertised, everything the consumer sees or hears must be truthful and transparent.  Unfortunately, many companies refuse to follow the rules, raking in huge profits at the expense of their customers.  From falsely-labeled products to unlawful interest rates to hidden fees that pile up, consumers have to pay money that they cannot afford to lose each and every time a company makes the choice to disobey the law.  WKS litigates to force transparency and honesty in the marketplace, and to make sure that the purchases you make give you the value you deserve.

In the United States, 11.7 million people visited emergency rooms in 2021 as a direct result of injuries resulting from the use of consumer products.  When people are put at risk or hurt due to a defect in a product, the law recognizes that they need to be compensated.  WKS is devoted to protecting the rights of people who have been harmed by a company’s faulty design or manufacturing process.

The law guarantees each of us a certain level of fundamental fairness and equality in how we are treated.  These guarantees include things like the right to vote, the right to use public facilities, the right to choose our own religion, the right to choose who and how we love, and the right to express what we believe.  It also protects us from unfair treatment at the hands of others, from employers to educators to government actors.  And, when people are charged with crimes, or when they’re incarcerated, American civil rights jurisprudence makes clear that they have a voice and tools with which to defend their liberty.  A society can only be strong and just when it keeps its promises to its most vulnerable members, and WKS is devoted to this pursuit.
