ABOUT
James is an associate at Wade Kilpela Slade LLP. His practice focuses on complex civil litigation, consumer’s rights, and warranty law.
A cum laude graduate from the University of Pittsburgh, James was an online editor of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review and his note, A Regional Solution to Broadband Availability, was published by the print edition of the law review. Prior to joining Wade Kilpela Slay LLP, James worked at a Pittsburgh law firm that practiced in mass torts and complex litigation, including the Philips CPAP MDL (MDL No.3014).
James was raised just out of Scranton, Pennsylvania. He attended Pennsylvania State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Earth Sciences and Policy. James joined Teach for America following his time at Penn State as a middle school math teacher in the Prince Georges County Public School System. During his two years as a classroom teacher, he attended Johns Hopkins University where he earned a Master’s of Science in Education.
James lives in Pittsburgh’s Lawrenceville neighborhood where he is a regular at the William Penn Taven and frequently enjoys other restaurants and shops in the area. When he is not practicing law, James enjoys following sports, particularly Penn State Nittany Lion football and Pittsburgh Penguins hockey, attempting to play golf, and going for hikes.
