Evan North serves as Of Counsel to Wade Kilpela Slade. Evan is also the founding attorney of North Law PLLC, a Philadelphia-based litigation firm.
Over the course of his career, Evan has developed an unusually diverse array of litigation experience. Before he founded his own firm and joined Wade Kilpela Slade as Of Counsel, Evan practiced with prominent global law firms for 12 years. He began his career at Boies Schiller Flexner, the powerhouse litigation firm, in Washington, DC. At Boies Schiller, Evan represented both plaintiffs and defendants in class actions and other complex litigation. His successes for plaintiffs included the favorable resolution of an antitrust class action against Highmark and UPMC, which paid a combined $20 million to settle the claims. He also represented the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in an antitrust class action. Later, Evan joined DLA Piper, where he defended class actions and worked on a variety of white-collar criminal and regulatory investigations as well as commercial litigation matters.
Evan began his legal career as a law clerk to Judge Mary Beck Briscoe of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law, where he was inducted into the Order of the Coif and finished with the highest GPA in his class. Before attending law school, North served with Teach For America. He worked as an elementary school teacher in the South Bronx, New York for two years. He earned an undergraduate degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
